17, Yes SEVENTEEN Years!

Well, today, I have been married to my honey for 17 years...how did that happen?








We were so young 17 years ago...and now we are officially adults...we are living in our 3rd home (but we also rented 3 apartments), we have had hmm...10 cars maybe? 3 cats...and lastly and most profoundly for sure...we have 2 great boys! Yep, we are all grown up...it's still hard to believe sometimes!

I hope the next 17 years will be even better...but with less homes, cats and kids!!! ;)

Iron Work Wall...What Would You Do?

It Doesn't Have To Be Perfect To Be Beautiful

See this picture, it wasn't supposed to be this way....almost 2 years later!

We moved our entertainment center in front of this iron work wall, just to see if we liked it there...and we did. So we decided to remove that iron piece, and hopefully use it in the garden or somewhere..then drywall up that opening...I told my husband that I sure hope it did not still look like this in a year...and he said, "Oh, no...we'll fix it..." Hmmmm-mmmm....that was October, 2006...as you see, we still have the entertainment center in front of the iron work wall.

What's worse....is that is our foyer down those stairs (we live in a quad-style home)....so yep, here is the first thing people see when they enter our home:

Yep, it's not perfect, but my home and my family are definitely beautiful to me! Thanks, Nester!
